NURSING & ME
That picture on the left is not me. And no, I don't look like that when I was a kid. She is my best friend's daughter. I feel she looks very cute and comfortable posing for the camera.
During our teenage years, we don't really have any inkling of what we would become. As for me, its a case of 'Que Sera Sera, Whatever Will Be, Will Be'...
Back in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.
After high school, I enrolled into nursing and studied at Kuala Terengganu General Hospital. Upon graduation and after marriage, I started working as a Staff Nurse in Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC), later I studied midwifery for one year at Malacca General Hospital. Upon graduation, continued working at SJMC in the Labour& Delivery Ward. After serving my contract with SJMC, I worked for a year as staff nurse/midwife in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia followed by another year in Riyadh. Next, I returned to Malaysia and worked in Sunway Medical Centre (SMC) and later again served another year in Jeddah. Finally, our family caught the migration bug and headed to the Gold Coast. Before deciding to settle here, we did check out Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. At the Gold Coast you get lots of sunny days, blue skies without clouds, occasional rain and hail. Winter here is mild cold to cooling, between 13-19 degrees Celsius at night.
15th Sept, 2013. Gold Coast.
These are the existing flora and fauna found in my garden. Spring is here and the plants should thrive well without much intervention. Lately for the past two months, rainfall is rare. Luckily for me, there is a 5000 litre rainwater tank and that too is drying up fast. Somehow this year the Gold Coast does not get the anticipated rain and in other seasons you can experience hail, waterspout and fierce winds. Winds that make your windows howl...and I have experienced hail. The entire ground turns to white as it gets carpeted in marbles of ice. That is one of the reason why Australian homes has got a built in garage. To protect their car, to stuff your lawn mover and trimmer plus not to mention all the other household clutter and to allow you to play with the garage door remote controller. Enjoy the flora and fauna from my garden, below.
